Editors' Biography:

Ming-Jyh Chern,  B.S., M.S., D.Phil., Professor, was born in Taipei.  Currently, Prof. Chern is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Taiwan Tech and in charge of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Laboratory.  Prior to this, he was a postdoctoral fellow of Institute of Physics, Academia Sinica, Taipei.  Prof. Chern received his first degree and master degree from National Taiwan University.  Subsequently, he received his doctor degree (D.Phil) from University of Oxford in 1999.  He was financially supported by Ministry of Education (Taiwan), British Government, and St. Hughs College during his study in Oxford.  Prof. Chern has published more than 30 peer-reviewed technical papers in SCI journals and 60 conference papers.  He has been serving as an editor for Journal of Chinese Institute of Engineers and Journal of Scientific Research Reports. His research interests include marine renewable energy, ocean engineering, computational fluid dynamics, fluid structure interaction, and biomedical fluid flow.

Vladimir Lanin, Dr. Sci. Tech., Professor, received the PhD in electronic engineering from Sankt Petersburg Technical Institute, Russia in 1982. He is currently Dr. Sci. Tech., professor with the Electronic Engineering and Technology Department of the State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics, Minsk, Belarus. He has more than 30 years of experience in Electronics Production Technology. Basic research area: technology of electronic devices. He is the author of 7 books on ultrasonic and soldering technology published in Belarus.

Moinuddin Sarker, PhD, MCIC, FICER, MInstP, MRSC (Pending), is the Vice President (VP) of Research and Development and Head of Science Team (VP and CTO), at the Natural State Research (NSR), Inc at Stamford, CT and the inventor of NSR’s award winning technology to convert municipal waste plastics into liquid hydrocarbon fuel. He has a M. Sc (1992) and Ph. D. degree in Chemistry from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST), Manchester, UK (1996). He has more than 22 years of professional research experience in different universities and research organizations all over the world including the US, Canada, the Netherlands, Germany, Taiwan, Bangladesh and the UK.  He has four patents pending, 85 research publications to his credit in peer reviewed journals and conferences and has wrote three books on Waste Plastic to Fuel Technology. He has received the International Renewable Energy Innovator of the year award (2010) at Washington DC, presented by the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE), USA. He is the President of the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE)-CT Chapter since August, 2012.

Nima Vaziri, PhD, is an assistant professor of Physics department at the I. Azad University – Karaj Branch. He received his PhD. from National Taiwan University of Science and Technology in Mechanical Engineering. His research areas are water waves fluid flows, computational fluid dynamics, acoustic, renewable energy and applications of neural networks.
