Call for Chapters for Advances in Resource Management and Consumer Sciences, an eBook has been planned to be published by ORIC Publications and edited by:

Prof. Arzu Şener, Department of Family and Consumer Sciences, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Hacettepe University, Ankara, Ankara, Turkey.

Prof. Namita Rajput, Department of Commerce, University of Delhi, New Delhi, India.

Prof. Zahir Uddin Arif, Department of Marketing, Jagannath University (JnU),  Bangladesh.

Objective of the Book

The aim of this proposal is to show recent and novel applications in management and consumer sciences. This book will provide some recommendations for addressing the shift from traditional Human Resource policies to a new economy perspective. The book covers a large range of topics, to be as a learning tool for business administration, management, economics, finance, ergonomics, ethics, environmental and social science. Also this book includes the behavior of families as they allocate and manage their resources and function as consumers.

Publishing Charges: 

  • Early submission: Free of Charge

Early submission was valid until 2014-04-30.

  • Late submission: 250 USD

Late submission is valid.

Submissions procedure

Academics and practitioners are invited to submit before April 15th, 2014, a 2-3 page manuscript proposal clearly explaining the mission and concerns of the proposed chapter to. The proposal should include the chapter summary, table of contents, number of pages and authors’ contact information. Authors of accepted proposals will be notified by May 15th 2014 about the status of their proposals and sent chapter organizational guidelines. Full chapters are expected to be submitted by July 20th 2014. All submitted chapters will be reviewed.

Important Dates

Editors' Biography:

Arzu Şener, Ph.D. is a Professor in the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at the Hacettepe University in Ankara, Turkey. She had been a visiting scholar in the Department of Family, Youth and Community Sciences and the Department of Sociology and Criminology & Law at the University of Florida. Her research and teaching specialties include family finance, consumer economics and education, family relations. She has published in a variety of social science journals, including Aging & Mental Health, Sustainable Development, Family and Consumer Sciences Research Journal, Social Behavior and Personality: An International Journal, Educational Gerontology,  The International Journal of the  Humanities. Some of her works title are; Values and Sustainable Consumption Behavior of Women: A Turkish Sample, Determining the Expenditure, Investment and Saving Patterns in Respect of Family Life Cycles, Influences of Adolescents On Family’s Purchasing Behavior: Perceptions of Adolescents and Parents, A Study on the Level of Awareness of Consumer Protection and Consumers’ Rights: A Turkish Sample, Emotional Support Exchange And Life Satisfaction.

Namita Rajput,  is Associate Professor of Department of Commerce, University of Delhi. A highly qualified individual with 22 years of rich expertise in Teaching, Lecturing and Research & Development with specialization in Finance, International business, Marketing and other subjects in commerce. Proficiency in handling graduate, post graduate students and research scholars by using interactive discussions and “hands-on” approaches to help them learn and apply concepts in subjects. Distinction of planning, executing and monitoring various research projects. Been a part of various seminars, paper presentations, business reviews & have authored several books and papers in national and international journals. Displayed vast success in continuously acquiring new knowledge and applying innovative pedagogies and have always aimed to be an effective educator and have a global outlook which is the need of today.

Zahir Uddin Arif, conducts academic and professional research as Associate Professor, Department of Marketing, Jagannath University (JnU) Dhaka, Bangladesh, a reputed full pledged government financed public university of Bangladesh with its 155 years’ long academic history. He is also Consulting Member and Resource Person on TBT (Technical Barriers to International Trade) issues in favour of International Trade Centre, WTO, Geneva, Switzerland since 2008. He is Research Fellow of International Institute of Advance Research on Trade & Commerce (IIARTC), Meerut, U.P., India. He also worked as ‘Senior Vice-President, Academic Accreditation Committee (AAC)’ and ‘Associate Vice President, Conferences & Awards Committee’ at The International Institute of Marketing Professionals, Brampton, Ontario, Canada from August, 2012 to June, 2013.
